TIPTON FARMER DIES IN WEST

The body of Peter Weismiller who died in Brighton,Colorado Monday while visiting a son Edwin is expected to arrive in Tipton Thursday. The 77 year old farmer,who had not been ill had an acute heart attack which caused his death almost immediatly. Funeral services are planned Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church with Rev O.R. Schlegelmilch officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, the body will lie in state at 7 p.m. Thursday at Young's Funeral Home. A native of Berne,Switzerland Weismiller was born May 24,1874 the son of John and Elizabeth Teuscher Weismiller. He came with the family of eight sons and one daughter to America in 1882 then to Tipton County in 1895. Weismiller and Sofrona Doversberger were married Feb 22,1900 and made their home south of Tipton. They were the parents of three sons. Mrs.Weismiller died March 28,1950, her husband was a member of the Lutheran Church. Two brothers John and Adolph and one sister Emma are deceased. The sons Walter and Raymond near Tipton and Edwin of Colorado survive with five brothers Chris,Alfred and Carl near Tipton, Godfrey and William of Elwood and one granddaughter.
