BIO     Thomas' parents are variously given as : John Athy and Margaret Lewis, Capt. George Athey and Sarah Marsh, and Thomas Athey and Elizabeth MNU. The first couple, John and Margaret, is stated by "Genealogy of the Athey Family in America, 1642-1932" by Dr. C.E. Athey, 1988. However, Thomas appears to have been born well before their marriage, and Thomas and Elinor's children are about the same age as the children of John and Margarete making this appear unlikely.
